This notice explains how Augmented Intelligence Inc. (“Augmented AI”, “we”) handles personal information when you visit augmentedx.ai or contact us.

One thing to clarify first. When we build systems for a client, we may handle information belonging to that client’s customers, members or audiences. We do that only on the client’s documented instructions under a data processing agreement, and that agreement governs the information, not this notice. If you think your information is being handled by us on behalf of one of our clients, contact that organisation. They control it, and we will refer you to them.

Everything below is about information we collect directly, from you.

What we collect

When you visit the site. Aggregated, cookieless analytics: pages viewed, approximate country, device category, referring source. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Because our analytics is cookieless, there is no consent banner to click.

When you contact us. Your name, work email, company, and whatever you choose to tell us about your situation.

If we go on to work together. Business contact details for the people we work with, and the correspondence, contracts and invoices that go with the relationship.

Server logs. IP address, browser type and request time, kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

We use this information to respond to you, to prepare for conversations, to send you occasional updates about our work if you have asked for them, to run and secure the site, and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We use AI tools in our own operations, including to help draft responses, prepare briefing material and tailor our outreach. Where AI is involved in something that reaches you, a person reviews it first. We may also use information about how people interact with us to improve our own internal systems, in aggregate or de-identified form wherever that is possible.

What you tell us about your business is treated as confidential. We use it to respond to you and, if we work together, to do the work.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not provide your information to third parties for their model training. Client data is never used to train foundation models: how that is enforced is on our Responsible AI page.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers for hosting, email, analytics, AI services and business operations, and a contracted delivery partner that carries out engineering work for us. Each is bound by contract to protect the information and use it only as we instruct.

We keep a current list of these sub-processors and provide it on request, email privacy@augmentedx.ai. Clients under contract receive it with their data processing agreement, along with advance notice of any change.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, and in connection with a sale or merger of the business, in which case we will say so here first.

Where information is processed

Our infrastructure is in the United States and the European Union. Information we hold may also be accessed from India.

Where information originating in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area is transferred outside that region, the transfer is made under appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where relevant. Copies are available on request. Where a client requires data residency in a specific region, that is agreed in the engagement contract.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement24 months from last contact
Client and supplier recordsDuration of the relationship plus 7 years, for tax and legal purposes

Your rights

If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request a copy, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is nothing to opt out of. Residents of other US states with comparable laws have equivalent rights, and we apply the same process to everyone.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy, object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@augmentedx.ai. We will respond within 30 days at no charge. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your state attorney general or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children

Our website and services are directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

We update this notice when our practices change. The version and date are at the top. Material changes are noted here for at least 90 days.
